Easy Grout Cleaning With Baking Soda Paste
· Mark Mendenhall
Black, grimy grout lines make a whole floor look dirty — even right after you mop. Here's the fix we use, with stuff you already have under the sink.
What you need
- Baking soda
- A little water
- An old toothbrush or stiff brush
- A cloth or sponge
How to do it
- Mix baking soda with just enough water to make a thick paste.
- Spread the paste along the grout lines.
- Scrub each line with the brush — the grime lifts right out.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
That's it. White lines, whole floor looks new again. For tougher stains, let the paste sit 10–15 minutes before scrubbing.
