Bulldozer’s New Road

A Rhyming Construction Story About Teamwork for Kids Ages 3–6

Start your engines for Little Dozer's biggest project yet! In this rhyming construction picture book for ages 3 to 6, Little Dozer — a small cheerful yellow bulldozer with a tiny red baseball cap — wakes up with a bold plan: build a brand-new road from the work site straight to the duck pond.

Push-push goes his blade as the road grows longer every day, curving around the old oak tree and past sunny fields of golden hay. But big jobs take a whole crew: Digger, the strong orange excavator, digs ditches deep and wide; Rosa Roller, the calm lavender steamroller, presses everything flat and true; and when Dozer gets stuck in a patch of mud so deep, Daisy Dump Truck zooms in to pour dry gravel, heap by heap.

When the bumpy patches are smoothed and the finishing touches are done — flowers planted row by row — the friends gather for the grand opening: a ribbon-breaking parade led by Dozer himself, rolling all the way to the duck pond where the ducklings splash and quack with cheer.

Written in lively read-aloud rhyme across 16 full-color spreads, this sweet story teaches teamwork, friendship, and never giving up — perfect for truck-loving boys and girls at bedtime or story time. This is Book 5 in the Wren Hollow children's collection.
