Rex’s Stomp and Roar

A Rhyming Dinosaur Story About Big Feelings for Kids Ages 3–6

Meet Rex — the happiest little T. rex in the warm, wide jungle, and definitely the loudest! With his mighty STOMP STOMP and his sky-shaking ROAR, Rex loves every noisy minute of the day... until his stomping shakes the mangoes off the tree, his roar scatters the butterflies, and his little compy friends plead with him to stop. Rex doesn't mean to be scary — he just doesn't know how to be gentle yet.

Luckily, Rex has kind friends. Gentle Bronto teaches him the soft-stomp — tippy-toe, light as a whisper. Wise Trixie teaches him the quiet roar — a buzzy hum, soft as bumblebees. Rex practices all afternoon, and the butterflies come out to cheer! But his big voice isn't wrong — it's just waiting for the right moment. At the Dino Games, a little compy wanders into the tall ferns and gets lost... and only Rex's biggest, mightiest roar can echo through the trees and guide him home.

Rex's Stomp and Roar is a warm, rhyming picture book that teaches one of the most important lessons for little ones: big feelings — and big stomps and roars — all have their place. Be soft and gentle with friends, and loud and strong when someone needs help. Every spread is packed with colorful jungle art, playful stomping and roaring moments kids can act out, and a reassuring goodnight ending.

Perfect for dinosaur-loving boys and girls ages 3–6, this 16-spread read-aloud adventure makes a wonderful bedtime story, preschool circle-time read, or gift for any little dino fan. The bouncy rhymes invite stomping, humming, and roaring along — great for wiggly toddlers who need to get the sillies out before sleep.
