The Brave Little Tank

A Rhyming Rescue Story About Being Brave for Kids Ages 3–6

Tommy Tank is small and round — the littlest tank in all of town. His cannon points up at the morning sky, his treads go clink, his little red flag waves, and kindness fills his head. But after a big storm soaks the roads and fills the lane with deep, deep mud, poor Daisy Dump Truck gets stuck — her six round tires spinning round and round, mud going SPLAT and SQUISH!

The big trucks try everything. Big Dozer pushes with all his might. Crane pulls hard with her hook pulled tight. They huff and puff, they try and try — but Daisy stays stuck deep inside. Then someone has an idea: "Let's fetch the tank! The little one, so brave and frank." Tommy rumbles out, humming a brave little song, hooks up his strong tow cable, and pulls — pull-pull-PULL! — until POP! Daisy slides into the light.

The Brave Little Tank is a heartwarming rhyming picture book about courage, kindness, and the power of believing in yourself. Tommy's story shows little readers that being brave isn't about being the biggest or strongest — "Being brave just means you try!" The whole town cheers, flowers rain down red and blue, and Tommy and Daisy become friends forever.

Perfect for boys and girls ages 3–6 who love trucks, tanks, and rescue stories, this 16-spread read-aloud makes a wonderful bedtime story or gift. The satisfying rescue scene — with its revving engine, creaking cable, and triumphant POP — will have little ones cheering along, and the gentle message about bravery and helping friends makes it a story parents will love reading again and again.
