The Dino Dig

A Rhyming Fossil Adventure for Kids Ages 3–6

Grab your shovel and brush — it's dig day at the sandy cliffs! Three dino friends — Rex, Bronto, and Trixie — are the best young junior diggers ever seen, and they're on a mission: dig for bones beneath the sun, because digging fossils is such fun!

The Dino Dig is a joyful rhyming adventure packed with discoveries. Rex grabs the shovels, Bronto grabs the brushes, and Trixie grabs her bright red pail. Along the way they find a funny rock that looks just like Trixie, a twisty old shell Bronto holds up with care, and then — CLUNK! — Rex's shovel hits something that won't move. It's huge! It's buried! With gentle brushing and careful digging, rib by rib and tail bone by tail bone, the friends uncover a whole giant skeleton — bigger than a school bus! — stretched across the canyon floor by sunset.

This 16-spread picture book celebrates curiosity, patience, and teamwork. Bronto reminds everyone to brush gently and take their time, because "a fossil's hiding under there!" — a lovely message about care and perseverance woven right into the adventure. And every spread bursts with warm canyon colors and fun dig-day details little paleontologists will pore over.

Perfect for dinosaur-loving boys and girls ages 3–6, this read-aloud adventure makes a wonderful bedtime story, preschool read, or gift for any little fossil fan. The bouncy dig-dig-dig rhythm invites kids to chant along, and the sweet "Goodnight, brave diggers" ending winds the excitement down for sleep.
